Josh Gleich & Chris Lukinbeal
Joshua Gleich is an Assistant Professor in the School of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of Arizona. He is author of Hollywood in San Francisco: Location Shooting and the Aesthetics of Urban Decline from University of Texas Press. He is co-editor with Lawrence Webb of Hollywood on Location: An Industry History from Rutgers University Press (forthcoming January 2019). His work has appeared in Cinema Journal, New Review of Film and Television Studies, and The Velvet Light Trap.
Chris Lukinbeal is the Director of GIST at the University of Arizona. In the last thirty years his research has engaged film and media geography, cinematic cartography and landscape, on location filming, geographic media literacy, and the geographies of media form. His books include: The Geography of Cinema; Mediated Geographies and Geographies of the Media; Place, Television, and the Real Orange County; and, a Media’s Mapping Impulse (forthcoming). He is one of three founding editors for the book series, Media Geography at Mainz and an Associate Editor for the journal Geohumanities.
