Cortland Rankin is Associate Professor of Film in the Department of Theatre and Film at Bowling Green State University. He is the author of Decline and Reimagination in Cinematic New York (Routledge, 2023) and co-editor, with Brady Fletcher, of Warscapes: Mediating Militarized Environments (Rutgers University Press, 2026). His work has appeared in the Journal of Popular Film & Television, NECSUS: European Journal of Media Studies, and Millennium Film Journal, as well as in the edited volumes Hollywood Remembrance and American War (Routledge, 2020) and Screening American Independent Film (Routledge, 2023).
