Carolyn Birdsall

Carolyn Birdsall is Associate Professor of Media Studies, University of Amsterdam. Her publications include Nazi Soundscapes (AUP, 2012) and Radiophilia (Bloomsbury, 2023), as well as “Listening to the Archive” (2019, co-ed. Viktoria Tkaczyk) and “Historical Traces of European Radio Archives” (2022, co-ed. Erica Harrison). She recently completed the funded project TRACE – Tracking Radio Archival Collections in Europe, 1930–1960 (www.trace.humanities.uva.nl).
