Bedriye Aylin Kartal

Aylin Kartal holds a PhD in History and Theory of Architecture from Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Nişantaşı University. Her research and teaching encompass architectural theory and history, with a particular emphasis on modernism and the early twentieth century. She investigates how architectural practices, especially within early twentieth-century and modernist frameworks, shape the experiential and social dimensions of urban life, contributing to the understanding and enhancement of contemporary urban environments.
