Alison Stenning

Alison Stenning is professor of social and economic geography at Newcastle University. Her primary research interests focus on everyday and emotional geographies, and are currently centred on questions of play and the city – especially on streets and in neighbourhoods – with an eye on questions of social, spatial and environmental justice. She is engaged in a series of projects exploring the geographies of neighbourhood play in the north-east of England.
