Erica Stein is assistant professor of film at Vassar College and can be reached at email@example.com. Her work explores the relationship between space and narrative in both popular and experimental cinema and has been published in Journal of Film and Video and Camera Obscura. She was co-chair of the Urbanism, Architecture, and Geography (previously Urban Studies) Scholarly Interest Group at the Society for Cinema and Media Studies, and is co-founder of Mediapolis. She is currently writing a book about postwar New York city symphonies as productions of utopian space.
